Microsoft Outlook Error 0x8DE00006

There are many types of error in MS Outlook. One of the errors is "Outlook error 0x8DE00006". In most of the cases, the sent mails stuck in the Outlook's outbox. I will try to show here all possible causes, which relate to the Microsoft Outlook error 0x8DE00006. Sometimes, Microsoft Outlook shows that the message "Sending message 5 of 5", while in reality Outlook does not process any email and displays the error message like:

Task 'XXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX - Sending' reported error (0x8DE00006): 'the operation failed.'

How to resolve Outlook Error Code 0x8DE00006
  1.  First, you have to make sure that whether the sender's email address is valid or not. If you are using wrong email addresses, then this error might be occurs in Microsoft Outlook.
  2. You have to check that is your Window updates waiting to restart. If so, then install and reboot your system.
  3. You can also try to remove your account from Microsoft Outlook. After doing this, restart MS Outlook and afterward create a new Outlook Profile.
To do so: Go to "Control Panel">> Click on "Mail">>"Show Profiles"
  • Click "Mail" option.
  • Click on "Show Profiles" button.

  • Click on "Add" Button >> Give new "Profile name" like Clark as I shown here in the given screenshot >> Fill all the required details and click on "Ok" button to move ahead.

  • Select "Prompt for a profile to be used" option. This will ensure you that every time when you initiate Outlook, it will prompt a pop-up to choose the Outlook profile to work with.
  • After creating a new profile, try to run your MS Outlook & select the new profile as you created earlier. Now, run the test and figure out that whether newly created account is able to send/receive mails or not.
If you are working on Microsoft Outlook 2010 or older version, uninstall the connector after deleting the account then reinstall it using a fresh download.

Sometimes, Outlook error code 0x8DE00006 may occur due to the corrupt Outlook PST File. Microsoft Outlook users getting troubled to access stores Outlook Data like emails, contacts, tasks, journals, etc. As a result, the Outlook performance gets downgraded. So, in such a case you need to repair your corrupted Outlook Data file.  Most of the Outlook users are already aware of SCANPST or also known as an Inbox Repair Tool, which is an inbuilt utility provided by Microsoft. Therefore, you should use this utility to repair minor level corruption in Outlook PST File. However, if the problem persists (even after deploying scanpst.exe) then might be your Outlook Data File is highly corrupted. To overcome this issue, you have to move on any third party utility.
