On MS Exchange server, the deletion procedure occurs in exact same ways like MS-Outlook without Exchange
Deletion occurs when using MS Outlook with Exchange:
1.) Soft Deletion: When you right click on an email and then click on ”Delete” option your selected email go to the “Deleted Items folder” in Microsoft Outlook. In Exchange, soft deletion can recover via using simple dragging and dropping items from the desired location according to convenience as they are not completely deleted.
2.) Hard Deletion: In hard deletion the Outlook items normally bypass the soft deletion process. In it the user just Shift + Delete the emails and it get deleted permanently. But these permanently deleted emails can also be recovered, as these emails are restored in Dumpster for some retention period. The deleted retention period is normally 14 days, but you can adjust it by making any required changes in the registry.
