How to Turn On or Off Incoming Message Sound Effects in MS-Outlook 2013

The latest version of MS-Outlook allow user to turn on or turn off the sound effects for incoming message or emails. Its works like a sound notification for Outlook users, by the way, the default setting for sound effects in Outlook are always enabled, but according to our convenience user can “Turn Off” or “Turn On” this feature.



Benefit of Sound Effects in Microsoft Outlook 2013:

Sound effects can be sometimes annoying for you and sometimes it also helps to recognize and notify new upcoming emails or messages. To disable and enable the sound effects for upcoming emails in Outlook, you have to follow the given instructions:

Steps to enable the sound effects for emails in MS-Outlook:

1.)  In Outlook 2013, click on the “File” menu.

2.) By clicking on the “File” a drop down menu will appear, choose and click on the “Option”.


3.) Now, in “Outlook Options” named window, click on the “Mail” button from the list.


4.) Go the “Message Arrival” section and select the “Play a Sound” dialog box.



If you are really getting irritated from the sound effects option and don’t want to use it more, than by following manual steps it can be disable.

Steps to disable the sound effects for emails in Outlook 2013:

     1.)    From the left-top corner, make a click on the “File” menu.


     2.)    Now from the option list, click on the “Option”.


     3.)    Clicking on the “Option” will move you on to the other pop-up window named “Outlook Options”.


     4..)    In “Outlook Option”, de-select the “Play a Sound” option which comes under the “Message Arrival” section.



     
     To make your Outlook more representative and useful, a user can also apply sound effects on reminders.
