  • Move PST To Archive Folders

3. Here, for archiving more data you can opt “Archive items older than” -> select desired location for data store and click OK

  • Using Import And Export Feature:


  • Open your Outlook 2010>>Within File menu opt “Account Settings” >>Data Files 
  • Move on with Add button >>“Create or Open Outlook Data File”, this option should be opted 
  • Then, get a new location to store PST data with a new name>> Close Account Settings and again open the File tab >> open tab and then “import and export wizard” 
  • Here, you have to opt is “Export to a file”>> the other option will be “Outlook Data file”>> select folder for PST data export and click on Next 
  • Click on Browse for finding the location for storing the file>>Finish the process>> a pop up with the text “Create Outlook Data file” for letting you apply the password for PST file protection, if you are not interested for the same then click on “Cancel” tab

  • Using Move To Folders

Step 1: Create a new PST using File>> New>> Outlook Data File>>select folders or folder to be shifted into this new PST folder

Step 2: To transfer or move data follow Edit >>Move to Folder>> A pop up with “Create New Folder” will be explored at the screen

Step 3: Name the PST by following “Name” >>Choose “Select where to place the folder” for saving the new PST 

Step 4: At last, “Move Items” should be your next selection, click on OK

These are the options you can go with for keeping away PST oversized issues. But, it is not sure that you can fulfill these tasks confidently and properly. You may not able to tackle to deal with these methods so better to go with a simple and read only application that can split up the PST into multiple parts before confronting oversized PST issues.
