and every email whether it has been delivered or not. Most of MS-Outlook users
ask such a question that “Is there is any
way to track sent emails”, then the answer is “YES”. Microsoft Outlook
helps to acknowledge you that a selected e-mail is delivered or not through its
advance feature of “TRACKING”.
Mostly, every second E-mail client offer this kind of advance feature and helps to keep your eyes on your mail whether its sent by you or received by you. Outlook gives user to a receipt and confirmation of delivery of e-mail sent by you. You can also see that mail recipient has read your mail or not using “READ RECEIPT”.

For MS-Outlook (2010 and 2013):
1.) Click on the “FILE” tab and then click on “OPTION” from drop down menu on the left hand side.
2.)
A new window will appear and now click on “MAIL”
and go to “TRACKING” option.
3.) In the “TRACKING” dialog box there are several options provided to you regarding confirmation about delivery and receipt of sent e-mails.
4.) For all Sent Items you will get these two options in dialog box:

- Delivery receipt confirming the message was delivered to the recipient’s e-mail server.
- Read receipt confirming the recipient viewed the message
5.) For all Received Items you will get three options:
- Always send a read receipt
- Never send a read receipt
- Ask each time whether to send a send receipt
After
selecting the most suitable option for both send and received item click on “OK” button.
For MS-Outlook (2007):
1.) Click
on the “TOOL” menu located in upper
side of MS-Outlook, A drop-down menu open in front of you having a multiple
options from them click on “OPTION”.
2.) As
you click on “OPTION” an another pop
window appears at your screen. Now drag your cursor at “E-MAIL SECTION” button and click on “E-MAIL OPTION” button.
3.) After
this, a new Email option open in which a “MESSAGE
HANDLING SECTION” is provided in which multiple options are provided you
can choose or select them according to your requirement. And after that click
on “TRACKING OPTION” button and
another small window screen will show you with several dialog boxes.
4.) Like
MS-Outlook 2013 you will get same options in dialog box for “Sent Items” and “Received Items”.
5.) Choose
the “DELIVERY RECEIPT” option and
click on the “OK” button and close
the process.
Tracking E-mails can be beneficial in many
ways through this at-least you can know your recipient has actually received
your mail and what’s his/her reaction regarding your mail.
